About Us..... Our History Fleeger's Pro Hardware was founded as Fleeger's Feed Store in 1946 by Walter L. Fleeger and one of his three sons, Paul M. Fleeger. It all began at 7818 W. Bancroft Street, when a building addition was made to the barn to give "Honey", the family cow, a new home. In 1954, the business expanded into a complete hardware store. Upon graduating from college, Eugene J. Fleeger joined his brother Paul. It was 1962 that we started our affiliation with Bostwick-Braun Company as a PRO hardware store. A second store was opened at 4400 Heatherdowns in 1968 and later moved to its current location at 2149 S. Bryne in October of 1986. A third store was purchased in 1980 at 2767 W. Central. This store closed in September of 1998. Fleeger's Today Now serving our community in two locations, Fleeger's is now developing the third generation for future leadership. Eugene was joined by his daughter, Laura Fleeger-Koenig in 1997. She decided to change career paths, leaving Sunshine Children's Home in July of that year. Fleeger's Pro Hardware was founded on the values and principles of being a service to the community and strives to be an asset to the quality of life of the people we serve. We continue to use these guiding principles as we change and grow to meet the needs of the customers that we serve. We thank the community for their support and hope you will give us the opportunity to serve you with your next do-it-yourself project. |
